About these terms

These terms apply to private online English lessons bought directly from English with Jaison, the trading name used by Jaison Snape, a sole trader. Contact: hello@englishwithjaison.com. Correspondence: Redvers Road, Brighton, United Kingdom. Lessons are provided online; this is not a visitor address.

What you are buying

Lessons are personalised English coaching sessions delivered online. A single lesson costs £25; a four-lesson pack costs £95 and an eight-lesson pack costs £180. Prices include any applicable taxes. The lesson description, time, price and payment method will be shown before you confirm a booking.

Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed when payment through PayPal has been accepted and you receive confirmation. You are responsible for providing a working email address, suitable device and reliable internet connection. Lessons may not be recorded without everyone’s prior agreement.

Cancellations and rescheduling

The booking policy forms part of these terms. Lessons can normally be moved without charge until one hour before they start using the reschedule link. Changes made with less than one hour’s notice and missed lessons are normally charged, with reasonable discretion for genuine emergencies.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under UK consumer law. Where you ask for a lesson to take place during a statutory cancellation period, you expressly request that the service begins during that period. If you later exercise a legal right to cancel after teaching has begun, you may have to pay for the service already supplied where the law allows.

Refunds

If Jaison cannot provide a paid lesson and no suitable replacement is agreed, that lesson will be refunded or returned to your pack. Other refund requests will be considered in line with these terms and your statutory rights. Any refund will normally be made to the original payment method.

Lesson packs

When you buy a pack, you choose and book the first lesson during checkout. After payment, Jaison will send you a private Cal.com link for the remaining lessons. Four-lesson packs should be used within six weeks and eight-lesson packs within twelve weeks. Packs are for the person who purchased them and cannot normally be transferred. Contact Jaison before expiry if serious circumstances affect your ability to use the lessons.

Respectful lessons

Lessons should remain safe and respectful. A lesson may be ended for abusive, discriminatory, threatening or inappropriate behaviour. No refund is due where a lesson is reasonably ended for serious misconduct.

Results and responsibility

Jaison will provide lessons with reasonable care and skill, but language progress depends on attendance, practice and individual circumstances. No particular exam, employment or fluency result is guaranteed.

Problems and governing law

Please email first so there is a fair opportunity to resolve any concern. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while any mandatory consumer rights in your home country continue to apply.

These terms are reviewed whenever the booking, payment or correspondence details change.
