Who I am
English with Jaison is the trading name used by Jaison Snape, a sole trader providing online English lessons and digital teaching materials. Contact: hello@englishwithjaison.com. Correspondence address: Redvers Road, Brighton, United Kingdom. Lessons are online only and visitors are not received at this address.
What I collect
I may collect your name, email address, lesson goals, booking details, messages, payment status and any information you choose to share. If you request a free guide or register for teacher resources, I also record your email consent and signup source. Payment-card and account details are handled by PayPal and are not stored on this website.
Why I use it
- To answer enquiries, arrange lessons and deliver the service or digital product you requested.
- To manage bookings, payments, cancellations, product access and necessary service messages.
- To send practical English tips, teaching ideas, new-resource announcements and occasional offers when you have consented.
- To maintain appropriate business, tax and dispute records.
The lawful bases used are contract, steps taken before a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests in running the service, and consent for optional email marketing.
Service providers
I use trusted providers to host the website, manage email, process payments and deliver the mailing list. These currently include ChatGPT Sites, Namecheap Private Email, MailerLite, Cal.com and PayPal. Each provider processes information under its own privacy terms.
How long I keep it
Enquiry, lesson and purchase information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve concerns. Mailing-list records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. A minimal suppression record may be retained so you are not contacted again by mistake.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time, ask what information I hold, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to some uses, or ask for a portable copy where applicable. Email me using the address above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
International services and security
Some service providers may process information outside the UK using recognised safeguards. I take reasonable steps to protect your information and do not sell it.
Cookies
This website currently uses only the technologies needed to operate the site and embedded signup form. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies will not be added without the appropriate information and consent controls.
